I've been playing with adding borders to my art, and it seems like I can't pick a style. I want some kind of border though, as I'd like to have my name on my photos.

If someone buys a print, frames it, and years later wonders (or their descendants wonder) who took it, they'll be able to know.

At the same time though, I don't want them to be too obtrusive. I don't want them interfering with matting and that kind of thing.

Here's what I've tried so far. It began with unbordered, unsigned photos:



Not real thrilled with that. Then I tried adding a black stroke, followed by an inch (or half) of white, with a name below the line somewhere:



With the name signed as "Andrew Hoshkiw Photography" at first, followed by just my name. Some with titles, some with dates. Then I tried reversing it:



But wait, some photos look better without borders, so I tried that. But to make the name show up, I put a transparent light box behind the text:



But with the name right in the corner, the prints department rejected a few of them, saying it was too close to the edge. This baffles me a bit, to be honest, that they'd accept some and reject others, when they all had the same style. So I tried moving the box away from the edge:



Wasn't too thrilled with that looked, though. On the screen they look nice, but on paper not so hot. I even tried a hybrid of all the styles:



Again, didn't like it. Now I've gone back to a simpler idea of no border, a simple name without a transparent box, close (but not too close) to the edge:



So tell me, my deviants, what looks best? What should I do? I'll probably stick with the most recent one, but I welcome your input.
