Shot during a duststorm at Burning Man 2007.

OMG! A Daily Deviation! Thank you so much! What else can I say about this shot? The dust storm had been raging for about an hour... I had been wandering around in the desert, hopelessly lost somewhere between the Man [link] and the Big Rig Jig [link] ... I didn't fear the storm though, and instead decided to embrace it, taking whatever photos I could. I found these two and they posed for me in what ended up being probably my favourite image from the entire festival.

Daily DeviationDuststorm Romance by *hoshq is one of the great pictures that can come to life every year in the Burning Man event. - "Once a year, tens of thousands of participants gather to create Black Rock City in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. They depart one week later, having left no trace whatsoever." That's Burning Man (according to the website). - I believe this picture depicts its spirit very well! :) (Featured by ^Helewidis)

This is a great shot, not only for the framing, angle and lens (fish-eye?) but for the context of it. A natural event which would normally call an end to any kind of photography, a dust-storm, and this picture just says 'it's business as usual', just slap on a face mask and carry on as normal.

A well captured moment, nicely done!

I love how disproportionate the angle makes them. Such large upper bodies, and short legs hidden behind her skirt. I like how she maintains an almost sexy feeling with her pose, which gives a sort of cocky ego feel to the man next to her. Like a trophy wife. Defiantly favourited.
